Tarkoituksena oli jäädä
Suzhouhun yhdeksi yöksi, joten otimme taxit juna-asemalta Pod Inn hotelliin. Luulin,
että asuisimme kiinalaisten kanssa samassa hotellissa, mutta ilmeisesti siellä
ei ollut tilaa kaikille. Epäilenpä melkein, että kiinalaiset löysivät halvemman
hotellin ja lähtivät sitten sinne mieluimmin, sillä yksi yö maksoi 25 euroa.
Hotelli ei ulkoa näyttänyt miltään mutta sijaitsi ihan mukavalla kadulla. Sain
onneksi huoneeni heti, sillä melkein viiden tunnin matkustelun jälkeen olin
aivan loppu ja nälissäni. Huone ei kylläkään ollut oikein makuuni. Ihme kuoseja
kaikkialla kuten esim. verhoissa olevat Ruotsin Taalainmaan hevoset.
Kylpyhuonekin oli vain lasinen koppi. Eli oli ihan onni etten tarvinnut jakaa
huonettani, sillä eihän kylpyhuoneeseen edes ollut ovea. Ainoa hyvä puoli oli sänky, sillä se oli todella pehmeä ja mukava
kun vertaa kivikoviin sänkyihin täällä kampus hotelilla.

We were supposed to stay in Suzhou for one
night, so we took taxis straight to the hotel from the train station. All
the other Chinese students had arrived an hour earlier, and I had thought that
we would be staying at the same hotel, but they had gone to another hotel. I
suspect they found a cheaper place, since one night cost 200RMB, but we were
told that the hotel was too full for everybody to stay at the same place. I’m
glad that I got my room straight away, because after travelling for about five
hours I was too hungry and tired to wait around. My room wasn’t anything
special if you didn’t take into account the crazy prints they had used
everywhere. Even my toilet was just a glass room without a door, so I’m glad I
didn’t need to share the room. The only good things about this hotel was that
the bed was comfy and the hotel was located near the city center.
