Environment and Operations tunneilla ei ole pakollista läsnäoloa, joten en ole
siellä käynyt varmaan kahteen viikkoon. Onneksi menin sinne sitten tänään.
Luokassa oli vain opettaja, joka kertoi, että viime viikolla oli viimeinen
tunti ja tänään sai tulla kertaamaan kurssin sisältöä opettajan kanssa, sillä
koe on jo ensi viikolla. Kokeessa tulee olemaan neljä lyhyttä kysymystä ja
kaksi case-study kysymystä. Paras osa oli, että opettaja antoi meille kymmenen
lyhyttä kysymystä, joista hän sitten neljä pistää kokeeseen. Ei tämä tähän
loppunut vaan opettaja kannusti meitä kopioimaan vastaukset suoraan kirjasta.
Ja tietenkin koko koe on ”open book exam” eli kirjat ja muistiinpanot vaan
mukaan. Voiko helpommaksi mennä? Toinen kurssi, jossa en kertaakaan ole käynyt
on Communicative Chinese. Sain kurssiohjaajaltani tietää kokeen olevan suullinen.
Ehkä tässä kahden viikon aikana voisi sitä kiinaa alkaa puhumaan.. Onneksi
luokkatoveri kertoi, ettei kukaan osaa lausua kiinaa luokassa, joten se vähän
stressiini lievitti.

In my International Business Environment
and Operations class there is no must to attend the class, so I haven’t been in
class for probably the last two weeks. As I went there today, only the teacher
was in class and he told us that he had finished the class last week and today
we could just prepare for the exam. Some French students had told the teacher
to move the exam since they would be having some Christmas parties to attend if
the exam would have been on the 25th of December. I’m glad I went to
class or otherwise I wouldn’t have known about the exam. The teacher explained that
the open-book exam consist of four short questions and two longer case studies.
For the shorter questions he gave a list with ten questions from which he would
chose four for the exam. He even encouraged us to copy the answers straight from
the book.. Can it be any easier than that? I went also to my course-teacher to
ask about my Chinese Communications exam. She told me it would be an oral
examination. Great, since I have no idea what they have been talking about in
class. As I asked one of my classmates she ensured that everybody speaks
Chinese really badly in that class, so nothing to worry about.
