Olin monesta blogista
lukenut, että kaupungissa on todella hyvät hotelli ja ravintola markkinat,
joten päätin sinne lopulta mennä. Markkinoille ei ole niin helppo
löytää, sillä mikään metro ei pysähdy lähelle. Otin silti minulle helpoimman
reitin, eli bussilla metrolle, jossa Jing’an temppelin kohdalla vaihdoin
linjaa. Jäin pois asemalla, jossa en aikaisemmin ole ollut, joten kännykän
navigaattorilla aloin suunnistaa kohti markkinoita. Päästessäni perille näin
kyltin jossa luki hotel equipment, mutta blogeissa oli sanottu, että paikka on
kun IKEA, iso sininen laatikko. Onneksi olin lukenut tämän kohdan, sillä
sellainen talo löytyi vähän matkan päästä. En ensin löytänyt sisäänkäyntiä,
joten päädyin toiseen ravintola-markkinaan, jossa myytin astioista tuoleihin ja
drinkkiensekoitussetteihin.
Kiersin lopulta sinisen
laatikon ja löysin sisäänkäynnin takakujalta. Niin kun paikkaa oli kuvailtu, se
muistutti ihan IKEAn noutopistettä, eli tavarat olivat esillä hyllyillä.
Kylttejä löytyi englanniksi jopa, jotta ei jokaisen käytävän loppuun asti
täytynyt kävellä nähdäkseen mitä sieltä löytyy. Ensimmäisessä kerroksessa oli
astioita ja muuta ruokailuun tarvittavia tuotteita. Toisessa kerroksessa oli
enemmän keittiöön tarkoitettuja pannuja, kattiloita ja veitsiä. Tuotteita ei
ollut vain ravintoloita varten vaan myös leipomoiden ja pizzerioiden tuotteita
oli myynnissä. Kolmannessa kerroksessa oli vaatteita kokeille ja enemmän
tuotteita hotelleja varten. Periaatteessa näiltä markkinoilta saa kaiken
ostettua halvalle joko omaan keittiöön tai sitten baarin, ravintolan tai
hotellin perustamiseksi. Mukaani tuli kolmella kympillä sitä sun tätä. Varmasti
olisin ostanut enemmän, mikäli minulla olisi keittiö huoneessani.

I had red from lots of blogs about a market
that sells equipment for hotels and restaurants. The market is located all the
way in Jing’an district, in an area I have never been to before. But in the end
I decided to go there even though there was no metro line close to the market.
With my phone navigator I found the right road and some shops that looked like
the market. But in the blogs they had described the place as IKEA: a big blue
box. It turned out to be just as described and I found the right place along
the road. At first I went to the wrong market as I didn’t find the entrance to
the right one, since the entrance was on the back side of the building.
The market is just like IKEA. There are
corridors after corridors with lots of stuff on the shelves. I didn’t even know
what I was looking for so I walked back and forth in the enormous shop. On the
first floor there were plates and china, as well as other things for
restaurants. On the second floor, there were more equipment for the kitchen
such as pots and pans in all styles and sizes. I especially liked the equipment
for a bakery. Also stuff for bars was on sale from bar games to coffeepots. The
third floor was more for hotels and not as interesting as the two first floors.
I ended up buying stuff for around 250RMB. If I would have a kitchen to equip I
would have bought so much more, since everything you could imagine for a
kitchen can be found cheaply from there.
