Keskiviikkona pari koulun
vaihto-oppilaista kysyi jos haluan yhdessä tanskalaisten kanssa mennä juhlimaan
joulua kaupungille. Tanskalaiset eivät mukaan tulleet, joten menin unkarilaisen
vaihto-oppilaan kanssa asuntoiloissa asuvien saksalaisen ja liettualaisen
kotiin. Siellä odotimme puoli tuntia, että venäläinen valmistuisi. Muut olivat
jopa venäläiselle lähettäneet, että lähdemme kello 9.45, ei 10.10 niin kuin
meille muille oli ilmoitettu, jotta hän olisi ajoissa kerrankin. Lopulta
menimme Minyao –kadulta neuvottelemaan meille kuljettajan, joka olisi valmis
ottamaan viisi henkeä kyytiin. Sellainen löytyi ja ajoimme Minxue kadulle
hakemaan venäläisen hänen asuntolastaan. Meidän oli tarkoitus tavata promoteri
ennen kello yhtätoista Muse clubilla, mutta olimme vähän myöhässä. Promoteri
jakoi meille juomalippuja, joten jälleen kerran kaikki juomat saimme
ilmaiseksi. Hauska juttu, että tämäkin promoteri oli venäläinen.
Muse oli minun makuuni. Iso
klubi, jossa pystyi jopa pelaamaan biljardia. Klubi oli somistettu
joulukoristeilla ja baarimikoilla oli tonttu-lakit päässä. Olimme klubilla
melko pitkään kunnes jatkoimme Hollywood clubille. Muse:in ulkopuolella vasta
kymmenes taksi otti meidät mukaansa, sillä olimme viisi. Promoterilta
venäläinen oli saanut Hollywoodin salasanan, jotta pääsisimme ilmaiseksi sisään.
Hollywood taas oli pienempi ja melko täynnä. Odotimme takkiemme kanssa narikan kohdalla
pitkään ennen kuin meille kerrottiin, että avoin narikka on yläkerrassa, eikä
ulko-oven kohdalla ole auki. Oli Hollywoodkin ihan kiva kun venäläisen näköinen
alkoi jakaa shotteja meidän kanssa. Lähdimme pois neljän aikoihin, mikä oli
minulle ihan hyvä aika, sillä olimme tanssineet melkein koko yön. Tanskalaisten
kanssa taas tulee istuttua puolet ajasta. Luulen myös, että koska neljällä
meistä oli korkeat korot, emme pystyneet seisomaan enää pidempään joten saimme
taksin tällä kertaa melko nopeasti ja lähdimme kotiin.

On Wednesday some the exchange students
asked me and the Danes to come with them to the city to celebrate Christmas. The
Danes didn’t come so I went with a Hungarian student outside campus to the apartment a German and Lithuanian
student lives at. The apartment complex was really authentic Chinese –style and
since they lived at the sixth floor without elevator I go to see more local
life in the staircase. We had to wait at the apartment for a while since we
were going with a Russian student, but she was late as always. In the end we
got tired of waiting so we went to the street and found a driver that would
take five people in his car. We drove to Minxue Rd to pick up the Russian, who
lives in the same apartments as the rest of the students from our school who
doesn’t live at campus.
We went first to Muse at Bund, since they had
a promoter there who gave us drink-coupons. Free drinks once again for the
whole night. Muse was really nice and big, with lots of tables and ok sized
dance floor as well as a space with billiard tables. We stayed at the club for
some time until we decided to go to Hollywood. We had to ask about ten drivers
if they could drive us until we found who accepted that we were five persons.
The Russian girl had got a password for Hollywood so we didn’t need to pay the
entrance fee. Hollywood was smaller and pretty packed. We got free shots from a
Russian looking guy, which was nice. In the end everybody wanted to go home
since we had been dancing almost the whole time in high heels. Outside we got a
taxi almost straight away and got home before five. Since the hotel doors and
windows were locked for the first time the Hungarian guy who also lives at
campus had go jumping over some bushes or something to climb in from a window.
Luckily he just opened the front-window for me so I didn’t need to go the back
way.
