Syksyn ostoksia

Tässä viimeisimmät ostokset tältä erää. Löysimme taas kenkä myyjän, jolta saa halvalla merkki kengät suoraan tehtaalta. Vanhat Vans kengät ovat olleet käytössä lähemmäs viisi vuotta, joten eiköhän ole aika vaihtaa uusiin. Teki mieli myös ostaa samantapaisella kukkakuosilla varustetut Niken lenkkarit, mutta tyydyn näihin niin kauan kun ulkona pystyy kävelemään kangaskengillä.

Netistä tilasin Maison Michelin hatun, sillä se on nyt todella suosittu Shanghaissa. Tälläisiä hattuja löytyy monesta kaupasta, mutta usein melko kalliita. Netistä, eli Taobaosta, löytyy eri hintaluokissa, ja tämä oli siitä halvimmasta päästä. Ei mitään parasta laatua, mutta malliltaan näyttää hyvältä.

Sitten vielä viimeiseksi Fjällräven reppu tuli ostettua markkinoilta. Ostin vaalean sinisen repun jo pari kuukautta sitten, ja se on ollut ahkerassa käytössä jumppalaukkuna. Liila reppu sopii paremmin retkirepuksi. Tälläistä täällä Kiinassa voi ostaa yhteensä viidelläkymmenellä eurolla.

                                                                                                                                                                    

Here are my latest buys from Autumn. We found a new sneaker guy, as the last one quit, and from this one I bought some Vans sneakers. The come straight from the factory with a lower price than what you get from the stores. I wanted to buy some Nike sneakers with a similar flower motive, but maybe I should stick with this as long as possible.

I also wanted to buy a Maison Michel hat for quite some time. I just found expensive ones in shops, so ended up buying a cheaper one from Taobao instead. The quality is not good, but I like the style and fit. These hats are really popular in Shanghai right now.

Another thing that is getting more popular is Fjällräven backpacks. I bought a light blue one some months ago, which I have used as my gym bag. The bag was so good that I bought a second one in lila. I have started to notice lots of Chinese people using the Fjällräven bag, but not nearly as much as I have seen in Finland. All of these things together cost less than 400rmb. 

Baobao laukku

Tässä taas laukku, josta en aluksi pitänyt, mutta löytäessäni sen tässä kuosissa, olihan se pakko saada. Normaalisti baobao laukut löytyvät eri värissä, ja halvimmat ovat muovisia ja kiiltäviä kun taas parempi laatuiset ovat sileämpiä. Jälleen kerran hinta markkinoilla oli lähemmäs sataa euroa alkaessani tinkimissodan. En ensimmäisellä kerralla halvalla saanut, joten seuraavalla kerralla, kun minulla oli asiaa markkinoilla, kävin toisessa liikkeessä vähän korkeammalla hinnalla. Lopputulos oli, että laukun sain vähän yli 20 eurolla. Olisin halunnut isomman, mutta sellaista ei mistään löytynyt. Laukku mahtuu hyvin isomman laukun sisään ostoskassiksi, tai sitten siitä tulee uusi työlaukku. Monella kiinalaisella näkyy tämä laukku käytössä, mutta onneksi ei ole sanan värinen.

                                                                                                                                                                   

Here again is a bag that I didn’t like when I first saw it. These were fashionable in Singapore a year ago, but not until I found it in this color combination, did I realize that I wanted it. Not all stalls in the market had it, so it was hard to get it for a cheap price. At first some of them had the price as high as 600rmb. Some stalls sold plastic ones in different colors, but only those selling the better quality ones, with smooth finish, looked good. I didn’t buy the bag during the first trip, but the second time, when I was hunting for some other things in the market. In the end one of the sellers followed me for a good five minutes until she realized I wouldn’t change my price, and I got it for 140rmb. Still not what I wanted to pay, but one of the other sellers was genuinely surprised I could buy it so cheaply.  

Kettureppu markkinoilla

Minulla on ollut paljon inhokki laukkuja, joita en koskaan voinut kuvitella käyttäväni, Marimekko, Louis Vuitton ja Fjällräven. No kaksi ensimmäistä olen jo jonkin aikaa käyttänyt, joten eiköhän se kolmaskin siirry käyttöön. Ehkä maku on muuttunut, tai sitten vastaan tulee vain näitä merkkilaukkuja halpaan hintaan, joista en aikaisemmin niin kalliita hintoja olisi maksanut. En vielä reppua ostanut, sillä Saksalainekin haluaa ostaa oman, joten ostetaan sitten yhdessä halvemmalla. Kånken reppu löytyy ihan Shanghain liikkeistä, mutta hinta on usein Suomen hintoja korkeampi. Kerran olen jopa nähnyt tytöllä kyseisen repun Shanghain kaduilla.

                                                                                                                                                                   

I used to have different bag brands that I didn’t like at all. Now my taste seems to have changed as I have started using bags from these brands. I didn’t like Louis Vuitton, since it was too much logo and usually fake, but now I got the Twist bag. I didn’t like Finnish Marimekko, but as I had lived in Shanghai for I while I felt like using Finnish brands and things was more important. Now the latest one is Fjällräven backpack. Lots of Finnish people have this bag, but I just thought it was expensive. Now the Swedish bag has found its way to Shanghai and all the way to the S&T market. I really like the colors, and why not buy a backpack for travelling? I haven’t bought one yet, as the German girl also wants one, so we will buy them together to get a cheaper price.

Jo toinen viikonloppu tuli vietettyä samaan malliin, kuin viimeviikonloppunakin. Lauantaina käytiin räätälimarkkinoilla ja sunnuntaina S&T markkinoilla. Minun vakioliikkeellä oi jotain vaatteita poistohinnoin, joten varasin itselleni Dolce and Gabbanan hameen. Liikkeessä ei kuitenkaan ollut paikan pomo, vaan jotkut muut myyjät, joita en aikaisemmin ollut nähnyt. Sanoin, että olin jo pomon kanssa jutellut hinnasta, mutta myyjä halusi varmistaa asian, ja pyysi minun näyttävän hinnan kirjoitettuna. Puhelimen netti ei kuitenkaan toiminut, joten sanoin, että soita itse pomollesi ja kysele. Ei tarvinnut soittaa, vaan sain hameen siihen hintaan kun sen piti ollakin. Olen aika varma, että pomo juhlii yöt pitkät ja saapuu itse liikkeeseen vasta iltapäivällä, joten muut alaiset eivät uskalla häiritä häntä.

Samasta liikkeestä oli tarkoitus ostaa ballerinaa tossut, jotka joustavat. Emme päässeet hinnasta yhteisymmärrykseen, joten markkinoilla lähdin metsästämään vastaavia. Ekasta liikkeestä löytyi, mutta ei oikeata kokoa. Viidennessä kenkäliikkeessä tuli vastaan samanmalliset, ja sain ne viidellätoista eurolla. Myyjä yritti saada minua maksamaan kolme euroa lisään, sillä selityksellä, että hän voisi syödä. Muut myyjät olivat siis liikkeessä lounaalla. Olen tietoinen, etteivät myyjät myy, mikäli hinta menee liian alas, joten vastasin vain että myy nyt äkkiä ne kengät niin pääset syömään itsekin. Hehe. Toimi hyvin.

Olen etsinyt hyvää työlaukkua, ja ohi mennessä huomasin kivan värisen MK laukun. Myyjälle sanoin tuttuun tapaan, että maksan laukusta viisitoista euroa ja olin jo matkalla ulos kun hän sanoi perääni että sopii. Sinisen laukun sisällä oli pienempi laukku, johon voi kiinnittää pitkän olkahihnan, mutta se sopii myös sisä pussina, sillä isoa laukkua ei voi sulkee vetoketjulla.

Loppuun voi lisätä, että kävin vielä kaupassa ostamassa suurimaksi osaa länsimaalaisia tuotteita, kuten jauhelihaa, muroja ja tonnikalaa, ja kassillinen ruokaa maksoi enemmän kun nämä tuotteet yhteensä. Eli kalleimmat tuotteet Shanghaissa ovat usein ruokatuotteet.

                                                                                                                                                                   

This weekend was almost the same as last weekend. On Saturday we went to the tailor market and on Sunday we went to the S&T market. I had reserved a skirt in my favourite shop, as the seller had it on sale. When I arrived at her shop, she wasn’t there. Instead there were a couple of other sellers that I didn’t know. I told them that I had already discussed the price, but they wanted proof. Unfortunately my mobile data didn’t work, so I couldn’t show them, and asked them to call her instead. I believe the owner is partying all the time and only shows up in the shop in the afternoon, so they didn’t call her, and gave the skirt to me for the price that I said.

I had wanted to buy ballerina flats from the same shop, but they were too expensive. I looked around and found the similar one that I wanted, but they didn’t have size 39! So I continued looking and in the fifth store they had the same model and perfect size. I didn’t bargain a lot but the seller still tried to get me to pay 20rmb more, so that she could also “afford eating” like the rest of the sellers in the store. I know they would never sell if they don’t make a profit, so I stuck to my original price of 100rmb and got the pair.

I also waked past a bag shop and found this color that I like a lot. I asked the price but as usually I told the seller I would buy it for 100rmb and walked out. In 3 seconds he was ready to sell it for that price. I got two bags, one large and one in side that also has a long strap. Since the large bag can’t be closed, the small one comes in handy to keep valuables safer. 

Twist iltalaukku

LV merkkiset laukut eivät paljon ole minua kiinnostaneet aikaisemmin. Ne ovat liian kopioituja ja logot ovat minusta liikaa. Siitä huolimatta hankin ensimmäisen LV laukun sen jälkeen kun huomasin sen keskustan liikkeen ikkunassa. Tämä viime vuoden Twist malli on mielestäni simppelimpi ja logokaan ei ole niin helposti tunnistettavissa. Laukun lukkomekanismi on melko jännä, sillä laukku avataan kääntämällä L samaan asentoon kuin V. Laukku on melko pieni, mutta hyvin se iltalaukkuna toimii.

                                                                                                                                                                

I have never understood the trend of having a LV bag. It seems like most people have a logo LV bag, and I assume 90% of those are fakes. I bought my first LV bag not long ago. I saw this model in a store window in the city center for the first time. The model twist is more simple and clan than most bags from the brand, and I like the lock mechanism. To open up the bag the L is turned and when matching the V the bag opens up.

Kävin viime perjantaina Science and Technology markkinoilla katsomassa mitä siellä on tarjolla. Tarkoituksena oli ostaa Mulberryn pieni nahkalaukku, joka minulla on jo ennestään, mutta olin unohtanut mihin hintaan sen aikaisemmin ostin, joten tällä kertaa ei tullut kauppoja tehtyä. Toinen laukku, jota olin hakemassa, oli Celinin laukku, joka sopisi työlaukuksi. Pistin yhden myyjän hakemaan laukun minulle, mutta nähdessään sen livenä, en kauheasti tykännytkään siitä. Etenkin nahka ei ollut mieleinen. Kävin monessa laukkukaupassa, mutta mikään ei ollut heti se oikea. Lopulta tuli ostettua Longchampin laukku, joka sopii treenikassiksi. Minulla on entuudestaan samanmallinen pinkki, mutta pienempi, kuin uusi ruskea laukku. Malli on hyvä, sisään mahtuu paljon tavaraa ja sekä pitkä että lyhyet hihnat tekevät siitä helpon kantaa. Kassin sai tingittyä hintaan 18 euroa, eli viitisen euroa kalliimpi, kuin mitä pienempi malli vuosi sitten maksoi.

                                                                                                                                                                     

Last Friday I went to the Science and Technology market to see what they have on sale now. I was supposed to buy a Mulberry bag, but I forgot how much I paid for it a year ago, so I didn’t come to an agreement on the price with the seller. I was also looking for a Celine bag, but after making one sales person run around and try to find it for me, I decided not to buy it, as it wasn’t as I had expected it to be like. I went to a lot of bag stores but ended up buying only a Longchamp bag in a bigger size than a similar one that I have bought earlier from the market. I have a smaller pink one, but the bigger brown one is great as a gym bag. The long and short handles make the bag easy to carry around. I bought the bag for 120rmb, which was just 20rmb more expensive than the smaller one I bought last year. 

Longchamp & Ray-Ban pinkkeinä

Suomalainen ystävä oli kysynyt, olenko bongannut Longchampin uusimman laukkumallin markkinoilta. En ollut sitä nähnyt muta heti jo seuraavalla kerralla kun Science and Technology markkinoilla kävin laukku tuli vastaan ainoastaan yhdessä kojussa. Otin siitä kuvan ja lähetin hänelle, mutta jälkeenpäin päätimme mennä yhdessä, sillä kauppa ei nyt ole mikään helppo löytää. Longchamp merkkinä ei minusta ole mikään paras, mutta ostin minäkin laukun lopulta kun sain sen hyvään hintaan, eli normaali 13e per laukku. Laukku on sen jälkeen päätynyt treenikassikseni, jotta Suomesta mukaan otettu laukku, jota käytin kun menin puntille, saa vähän lepoa. Pinkkiä tavaroita alkaa nyt löytyy minulta joka puolella, sillä minulla oli esim. puhelinkuori ja lompakko pinkkeinä. Laukun seuraksi tuli siis myös pinkit Ray Ban lasit ostettua, sillä ne tuovat väri elämään verrattuna aikaisemmin keväällä ostetut mustat aurinkolasit. Lasitkaan eivät paljon maksaneet kuin noin viitisen euroa, ja samalla tuli myös samanlaiset ostettua muillekin tuttaville.

One of my Finnish friends had asked if I had seen the latest model of a Longchamp bag at the markets. I had never before seen it, but the next time I went to the Science and Technology market I found it in one of the stores far away on one of the smaller corridors. I went with her to buy the bag the next time, but as I got a good deal making two bags only cost 200rmb together I decided to have one myself as well. My new bag ended up being my sports bag, so that the bag I brought with me from Finland could have some rest. Longchamp hasn’t ever been my favorite brand, but this back is really easy to carry around as it has one long strap and two handles from which to carry. The leather is also soft and the pink color has started to enter my accessories for a while now. My phone has a pink cover as well as the wallet I use the most, so of course I had to add some pink sunglasses to the collection. The glasses cost about 40rmb and are better in the spring time than the black ones I bought earlier this spring.   

Tory Burch -laukut

Pinkki lompakko on jo pitkään ollut käytössä, joten käyttöön piti mennä ostamaan myös sininen. Nämä markkinoilta ostamat lompakon kokoiset rannelenkillä varustetut laukut eivät paljon maksaneet, mutta samalla niihin saa kaiken tärkeän mahtumaan. Laukuissa on kolme taskua tai lokeroa, joista pienimissä on oma vetoketju. Isoimpiin lokeroihin menee kännykän ja rahojen lisäksi myös muut tarpeelliset kuten huulirasva ja nenäliinapakkaus. Lompakkoa käytän nykyään päivittäin ja painavampi Valentinon niittilompakko saa nyt levätä. Monesti en halua kaikkea tavaroita taskuihin änkeä enkä laukkua mukaan ottaa, joten nämä pienlaukut ovat loistavia. Näitä laukkuja on markkinoilla tarjolla monissa väreissä ja niitä on kyllä metsästetty niin moneen kertaan, etten usko niiden oston vieläkään loppuvan. Tory Burch ei koskaan ole ollut minulle mikään erikoinen merkki mutta kokoelmaani tuli myös musta nahkalaukku. Tässäkin laukussa on kahden erillisen tasku-lokeron lisäksi rannehihna ja metalliketjuolkahihna. Laukun voi myös pistää kiinni vyöhön, sillä takapuolella on lenkki jonka läpi vyön voi vetää. Laukku on samankokoinen kuin pantteri YSL –laukkuni, mutta kun pantteri ei kaikkeen sovi voin ottaa mustan laukun sen sijaan.

I have had the pink TB bag in use for a long time now. After a while I had to get a blue one too so I didn’t have the same one in use all the time. The bags are the perfect size for all the things I need to have with me such as money, phone, napkins and so on. The bags have a wristband from which to carry the bagas well as three pockets, from which the smallest one has a zipper to keep coins or other small things on place. As the bag is the size of a wallet I can’t have too much in it but instead of trying to fit everything into my pockets I take the bag in my hand. The markets selling the bags have lots of colors but the blue and pink ones goes best with the rest of my clothes without being too simple or boring. Just to put it simply these are the best bags ever and I use them every day as a bag or a wallet. The TB brand has never been too special but still I also had to have an leather one from the same brand as the small ones. The bigger one has also a wristband as well as a longer chain and the bag can be attached to a belt on the wrist. So multifunctional. The bag is pretty much the same size as the YSL –bag I bought earlier, but as leopard print doesn’t work with everything I fell that the black leather one is easier to use. 

Pilkullinen MK -laukku

Viime viikolla kävin ostamassa uuden Michael Kors laukun, sillä edellinen on ollut käytössä melkein joka päivä. Laukku on juuri sopivan kokoinen koululaukuksi. Olin ajatellut ostavani yksivärisen MK laukun, mutta kauppiaat olivat saaneet juuri uuden erän pilkullisia ja huiveilla koristettuja laukkuja. Pilkulliset olivat enemmän minun makuuni ja oli vaikea valita minkä väri yhdistelmän otan, sillä tarjolla olisi ollut valko-pinkki tai musta-fuksia valko-ruskean lisäksi. Laukku maksoi noin seitsemäntoista euroa, eli vähän kalliimpi kuin edellinen MK laukkuni.

Last week I bought a new Michael Kors bag. The one I had bought earlier has been a good bag for school, so I decided I needed another one as well. I was thinking about buying a single colored bag, but the shops had just received two new styles. One of the bags was decorated with a scarf and the other one with dots. I liked the one with dots better, and I had a hard time deciding on which color to take. In the end I bought the white-brown, since it can go with anything compared to a white-pink or black-fuchsia bag. The bag cost me 130RMB, which is a bit more than what I paid for the previous MK bag.   

The North Face -reppu

Olin lähdössä muiden vaihto-oppilaiden kanssa matkustelemaan ympäri Kiinaa, joten tarvitsin repun reissaamista varten. Markkinoilla ei ole kovin laaja valikoima reppuja, mutta löysin hyvän kokoisen North Face -repun yhdestä liikkeestä. Maksoin repusta ylihinnan, eli noin kaksikymppiä, mutta en jaksanut alkaa tinkimään myyjän kanssa, sillä hän oli todella mukava ja oikeat reputhan maksavat jossain partioaitassa satasen. Reppu vaikuttaa muutenkin laadukkaalta, joten ei se hinta nyt niin paha loppujenlopuksi ollut. Yhteinen matka muiden oppilaiden kanssa jäi minulta tekemättä, sillä en voinut olla koulusta poissa yhtenä päivänä esitelmän vuoksi. Ainakin ensi kertaa varten olen valmis lähtemään matkaan kun reppu on jo valmiiksi hankittu.

I had planned on going with some other international students to travel around in China for some days, so I needed a backpack for the trip. There isn’t a great selection of backpacks at the S&T –market, but I found a good quality North Face –backpack from one of the shops. In the end I paid a bit more than I had decided to pay, but since the seller was really kind, I felt like 150RMB isn’t too expensive. In the end I couldn’t go on the trip since I had a presentation in school I couldn’t miss. But at least I have the backpack for next time. 

YSL pantteri-iltalaukku

Kävellessäni ympäri Qipu Lun markkinoilla huomasin naisen pakkaavan pois YSL-laukkua kaupan edessä. En ollut nähnyt mallia aikaisemmin ja koska tarvitsin pienemmän laukun, jolla on olkaketju, päätin ostaa laukun. Koska Qipun markkinat ovat enemmän paikallisia varten alkuhintakin oli jo niin alhainen verrattuna muiden laukkuliikkeiden hintoihin. Maksoin lopulta saman hinnan kun muistakin ostamistani laukusta eli noin kolmetoista euroa. Olisin saanut sen varmasti halvemmallakin, jos olisin jaksanut alkaa neuvotella kiinaksi myyjän kanssa. Laukun pantteri-kuosi muistuttaa poninkarvaa. Laukku on muuten mustaa nahkaa ja sisäpuoli on punainen ja jaettu kolmeen osaan. Eniten pidän laukun edessä roikkuvasta kulta-tasselista, joka kuvassa ei oikein selvästi näy.

I was walking around at the Qipu lu market, when I saw a woman putting an YSL-bag away. I hadn’t seen the style before so I decided to buy it. I had been looking for a smaller shoulder bag that I could take with me to the bar and since the size and style was perfect I had to have it. Since the Qipu market is more for Chinese people the starting price was pretty low but I still haggled the price a bit down, but if I would have wanted it even lower I should have started negotiating in Chinese.    

Sini-valko MK laukku

Tulessani Shanghaiihin yllätyin, että Michael Korsin laukkuja pystyi ostamaan markkinoilta. Olin odottanut näkeväni vain luksus-merkkejä. MK laukkuja on joka liikkeessä, joten tiesin saavani sen jostain haluamallani hinnalla, ja lopulta sainkin sen kolmannesta kaupasta jossa kävin hintaa kyselemässä. Suomessa laukku ei ollut kiinnostanut minua yhtään, sillä melko monella oli sellainen. Mutta kun sen nyt kolmellatoista eurolla saa, niin oli pakko ostaa koululaukuksi. Mikäli laukku ei heti hajoa, voisin ehkä ostaa toisen värisen tai mallisen myöhemminkin. Liikkeestä, josta sain lopulta laukkuni, ei tykännyt tinkimistyylistäni, sillä hänen mielestä minulla on pakko olla paljon rahaa nähdessään, että minulla oli myös MK kello kädessä.

When I first came to Shanghai I was a bit surprised that they have so many Michael Kors bags on sale. I was waiting to see more known brands, but it seems like more well-known brands has to be hidden and Michael Kors bags can be kept in the front. I hadn’t been interested in the bags back home, but since here you can find so many models in different colors, I decided to buy one. The size is good a school bag, and the model is so simple that you can wear it everywhere. I even had to go to three stores before I got it to the price I wanted from the beginning. First they tried selling a bag with a crocked zipper, but after a while the seller brought me a better one. If the bag doesn’t break anytime soon I might buy one in another style or color, since this one has been really useful for me in school.  

Monikäyttöinen laukku

  

En ollut etsimässä laukkuja, kun huomasin Jimmy Choon laukun yhdessä Science and Technology Museon metroaseman kaupoissa. Laukkua voi käyttää joko reppuna tai sitten olkalaukkuna. Lauku on jaettu kahtia, joten kaikkia tavaroita ei tarvitse änkeä samaan paikkaan. Laukun sisällä on myös kaksi pienempää ja yksi vetoketjullinen tasku, joten tavaroiden löytäminen laukusta on todella helppoa. Koska mallia voi käyttää niin monella tavalla tuli ostettua yksi mustana ja yksi pastelli pinkkinä. Pinkkilaukku jäi käyttööni, mustan lähtiessä takaisin Suomeen.

I wasn’t looking to buy bags when I saw an interesting bag in one of the shops at Science and Technology Museum metro station. The bag can be used as a backpack or a shoulder bag and since it is so versatile we bought it as bought black and pastel pink. The bag is divided into two, so not all things need to be put in the same place and finding things from the bag is much easier this way.
