Maanantai-iltana ei ollut
aikaa mennä valokuvia valitsemaan viime viikon kuvauksista, joten menimme sinne
tiistaiaamuna. Olimme paikalla vähän kello yhdeksän jälkeen, mikä olikin huono
aika, sillä vain yksi henkilö ehti asiakkaiden kanssa kuvia mennä läpi, ja
meitä edellä ollut henkilö oli todella hidas. Odotimme lähemmäs tunnin
vuoroamme, ja kun lopulta saimme mennä valitsemaan kuvia, poikaystävällä oli jo
mennyt hermot odotuksessa, ettei hän enää halunnut kuvia tulla katsomaan. Menin
siis yksin ja kiinaksi taas yritin yksin, että mitä kuvia halusin ja mitkä sai
poistaa. Kuvia oli alussa yli kaksisataa, ja minun piti niistä karsia alas
kahteenkymmeneen. Menimme kuvat nopeaan tahtiin läpi samalla kuin sanoin tahdon
tai en tahdo pitää kuvia. En halunnut sanoa liian monelle kuvalle ei, sillä
pelkäsin, että lopuksi ei olisikaan mitään hyviä kuvia tallella. Eli nopean
karsinnan jälkeen kuvia olikin se sataviisikymmentä jäljellä. Tässä vaiheessa
poikaystävä saapui paikalle, ja luuli tietenkin, etten ollut saanut mitään
aikaisekseni. Kun jäljellä oli vaan ns. hyviä kuvia, yritin valita kolme –
neljä parhainta, jotka sitten yhdistäessä saisi hyvän kokoelman erilaisista
poseerauksista, kampauksista, vaatteista jne. Meitä oli myös kuvattu
yksitellen, joten yksi kolmas osa oli kuvia, jossa esiinnyimme yhdessä, ja
loput olivat yksittäiskuvia. Näistä kahdestakymmenestä kuvasta piti myös valita
kaksi tauluihin tulevaa kuvaa, sekä lompakonkokoista kuvaa. Kuvat ovat valmiina
vasta kuukauden päästä, mutta meille kerrottiin, että he pistävät meilillä
kuvat meille myöhemmin, eli saa nähdä milloin ne kuvat saapuvat.

Today, early in the morning, I and my
boyfriend went over to the photo-studio we had taken over pictures at last
week, to choose the ones we liked the best. Even though we arrived a bit after
nine, we still had to wait for an hour, before the one going through the pictures
with us would be free, as the customer before us was really slow. I wasn’t too
quick either as I had to narrow down our pictures from over two hundred
pictures to only twenty. By saying want or want not, we went through all the
pictures in a quick pace. At first I didn’t want to delete too many pictures as
I was afraid I would end up with a bunch of pictures I didn’t like as I had
deleted good pictures in the heist. In the end I was left with still hundred
and fifty pictures to choose from. This was easier as I could choose three to
four pictures from every different setting we had. One third of the pictures
were those we were together in, and the others were one person photos. We also
had to choose two pictures that could be hang on a wall as well as two for
wallets. I would rather have had twenty pictures in my book, and then four other
for the frames and wallets. We can go and pick-up the finished pictures after a
month, but we were told that an email with the pictures should be sent to us
sooner.
