M on the Bund is located at the Bund, just like the name indicates

M on the Bund –ravintolassa tuli käytyä viimeksi noin vuosi sitten. Oli aivan pakko saada heidän ihanaa marenkijälkiruokaa, joten lähdimme sinne lauantaina. Sen sijaan, että olisimme menneet brunssille, säästin 45 euroa, ja menimme iltapäivä teelle, joka alkoi kello kolmelta. Olin tehnyt pöytävaruksen, ja meidät pyydettiin tulemaan vasta puoli neljäksi. Saimme siis hetken ennen teetä levähtää Bundin kävelykadulla auringossa. Suurin osa asiakkaista oli terassilla, ja meidätkin pistettiin ulos istumaan. Tilasimme yhden iltapäivä tee –setin ja yhden Pavlova annoksen.  Lisäksi sain yhden kannullisen Pu’er teetä ja CC tilasi kannullisen kukka-hedelmä teetä. Teesettiin kuului sekä suolaisia että makeita pikkuleipiä. Löytyi kolme leipää eri täytteillä ja kaksi piirakan palasta. Piirakat olivat turhan pieniä, mutta niin se vaan on näin kalliissa ravintolassa. Kaksi skonssia ja kolmea eri täytettä, jotka sai itse pöydässä täyttää mielensä mukaan. Kipoista löytyi vadelma hilloa, kermavaahtoa ja kärsimyshedelmä hilloa. Viimeiseksi oli kaksi pientä pikkuleipää, jotka eivät olleet mitenkään erikoisia. Lopuksi vielä kännykkä täyteen maisemakuvia, sillä terassi sijaitsee aivan upealla paikalla Lujiazuin pilvenpiirtäjien vastapäätä Bundilla. Kävimme kuvamme hyvään aikaan ottamassa, sillä seuraavaksi tuli jo ryysis kun kolmen pöydän seurueet tulivat kaiteiden luo ottamaan kuvia.

                                                                                                                                                                  

It has been almost a year since I last time went to M on the Bund. I have longed after the famous Pavlova dessert and finally got it. As of now this might be my favorite dessert. Instead of going to the brunch, I saved some 300rmb and went to the Afternoon tea. The tea is served during the weekends from three to maybe five. We had the afternoon tea set with some Pu’er tea and some Shanghai dream fruit and flower tea. The tea set came with some sweet and savory treats. There were three breads with different fillings and two pieces of pie. Of course we shared everything so there wasn’t much to eat, just a mouthful of everything. The best part was two scones that could be filled with whipped cream, raspberry jam or some sort of passion fruit compote. The last two desserts on top weren’t that interesting. The view from the terrace is great and we got some nice shots of the skyscrapers on the opposite side. Luckily the weather outside was warm and sunny so the afternoon tea was a pleasant experience.
