Olin monesta paikkaa
lukenut kuinka huono tämä turisteille tarkoitettu joen ali kulkeva tunneli on,
mutta pakko nyt näin kuuluisa nähtävyys kokea, kun nyt kaupungissa asuu. Menin
tunneliin Bundin puolelta ja matka maksoi noin seitsemän euroa. Paikalla ei
ollut paljon ihmisiä, ja samaan vaunuun kanssani tuli neljä muuta ihmistä,
vaikka luulen, että sinne mahtuisi jopa kymmenen kerralla. Seison vaunun
etuosassa toisen turistin kanssa kuvaamassa matkaa, mutta suoraan sanottuna ei
siinä paljon kuvattavaa ollut. Matkan aikana oli paljon vilkkuvia valoja ja
seinät olivat koristeltu. Matka ei varmaan enemmän kuin viisi minuuttia
kestänyt ennen kuin saavuimme Lujiazuin puolelle. Tunnelista poistuessa saavuin
matkamuistomyymälään, josta en aikaisemmin ole edes kuullut. Lopuksi voi kyllä
sanoa, että matka ei ollut seitsemän euron arvoinen, ei sitten lähelläkään.
Mutta toisaalla vain he jotka ovat kokeneet tämän tietävät, miten huono se
oikeasti voi olla.
Most
places describe this tourist attraction as tacky, and I won’t argue with that. The
sightseeing tunnel, which crosses under the Huangpu river, might in fact, be
even worse than I expected. The entrance at the Bund side is located in a
pretty good spot and easy to find. Getting from the entrance to the ticket
office takes some time, and there are some food places next to the ticket office
that you might not know about, if you don’t plan on taking the tour. One way
cost 50rmb, which is really expensive, after you have seen what you paid for.
There wasn’t that many people taking the tour, and just four people entered the
same car with me. I together with another tourist stood in the front of the car
to take video and pictures as the three others weren’t even interested in the
ride. The trip took maybe some five minutes, and there were just some lights
and decorated walls on the way. A voice from a speaker announced in Chinese and
English what we were supposed to see. The only part I remember was the volcanic
part, were there were some red lights. Even though many places say this is a
must try even though they say it is bad, I have to disagree as it isn’t worth
it. You could rather spend some coins on the metro, ferry or taxi.
