Perjantaina kävin
pietarilaisen miehen pitämällä valokuvausluennolla Suomen konsulaatin
viisumipuolella. Viisumipuoli ei ollut auki yleisölle, joten paikalla oli vain
kymmenen suomalaista kuuntelemassa. Luento pidettiin suomeksi ja käsitteli
suureksi osaa sitä, miten hyviä valokuvia otetaan. Ensin näytettiin millaiset
huonot kuvat ovat, esim. mistä ei kannata rajata tai leikata kuvaa. Tämän
jälkeen käytiin läpi miten hyvä kuva otetaan. Vähän neuvoja kameran asetuksista
ja muita hyödyllisiä vinkkejä tuli vielä loppuun. Luennoitsijan mukaan kaikkien
kuvat paranevat ja ”kuvat saavat enemmän tykkäyksiä facebookissa”, mikäli me
seuraamme näitä neuvoja. Luento kesti noin kaksi tuntia ja oli hyvin
järjestetty ja kiinnostava.
On
Friday I took part in a lecture about photography in the Finnish consul. As the
visa section was closed in the afternoon, we had the lecture there and about
ten Finns attended. The lecturer started off by going through some examples of
bad photographs and after that showing how good ones are taken. He went through
some really simple stuff, but all of them result in better pictures. Important
things were e.g. framing, depth, balancing and the rule of third meaning that
the main object shouldn’t be in the middle. The horizon of the picture should
be straight but not in the middle. He also went through the basic functions of
a camera and advised us not to use automatic mode. After this lecture everybody
who follows his tips should get better pictures and “more likes on facebook”.
The lecture was really interesting and informative, so I’m glad I took the time
and attended it.
