Toisen blogin kautta
näin, että Shanghaissa on bagel –kauppa keskustassa. Samalla kun tein
kierroksen keskustassa, ajattelin poiketa siellä. Spread the Bagel –paikka on
enemmän suuntautunut palvelemaan ihmisiä, jotka tilaavat kotiin kuljetettuja
bageleitä. Kahvilassa oli vain kaksi työntekijää, joista toinen yritti ottaa
tilaukseni ylös samalla kun puhelimitse tuli muita tilauksia. Kerralla tuli
tilattua isompi satsi, kun en nyt usein paikan lähistöllä tule käytyä. Olisin
halunnut pinaatti-kana bagelin, mutta sillä se taisi loppua jonkun muun
tilatessa puhelimitse saman, tyydyin savustettuun kana klubi seesami bageliin ja
vege parmesaani bageliin. Huomasin vielä listalta graavilohi poppy bagelin ja
lisäsin sen tilaukseen. Liäski tuli ostettua kaksi normaalia bagelia nutellalla
ja hunajalla. Bagelit tehdään lämpiminä, joten ei ollut se paras veto viedä ne
kaikki kotiin ja syödä ne vasta monen tunnin jälkeen. Graavilohi ja vege
bagelit olivat parhaimpia, ja niitä voisin jatkossakin syödä, mutta muut olivat
ehtineet kuivua ja olivat melko sitkeitä. Jatkossa siis jos tilaa normaalin
bagelin, se kannattaa heti paikan päällä syödä, sillä se ei kauan pysy tuoreena.

from another blog, that there was a bagel shop in Shanghai. When walking in the
city I made a detour and headed there as well. Spread the Bagel is more into
serving people ordering delivery, with only two people working in the shop and
the other one trying to take my order at the same time as answering the phone.
As I’m not going to this area that often, I decided to buy more bagels and try
them out, so I know if it is worth a visit next time. I took one chicken club
with sesame bagel and one veggie with parmesan bagel from the list. In addition
I also ordered two plain bagels with nutella in one of them and honey in the
other. As there was only one worker making the bagels I had time to look
through the list and found the gravlax bagel that I also ordered with a poppy
bagel. I made the mistake and ate them at home. Since they are warm when received
the plain ones where a bit hard to eat. Also the chicken club had turned dry.
Only the veggie and gravlax were amazing and I will go back and have some more
of these two. And in case I want some plain ones next time, I have to make sure
to eat them in the shop.
