Ennen uutta vuotta
pähkinämyyjät tekivät varmaan koko vuoden edestä rahaa. Kävimme kahdella
kojulla, jossa muuten on ollut aika hiljaista ja nyt siellä oli oikein
tungosta. Kiinalaiset ostavat kassi kaupalla pähkinöitä, joita sitten kotona
sukulaisten kanssa voi nauttia. Itsekin ostimme kahta eri pähkinää ja hinnaksi
tuli noin kymmenen euroa. Hinta kohosi uuden vuoden viikon aikana noin kolmella
eurolla per kilo, eli me täällä odotellaan, että uusi vuosi loppuu ja saamme
taas halvempia pähkinöitä.
Chinese people eat nuts and seeds all the
time, but during the Spring Festival buying nuts become extremely important. The
nut shops nearby our home got really crowded after not seeing any people by
from them in a long while. We also bought some walnuts and hazelnuts for about
80rmb. Hazelnuts cost on that day 60rmb/per 500g and the second time we visited
they had lifted the price to 70rmb/per 500g. So now we are waiting for the
price to come back down again.
