Tänään oli herätys jo
puoli kahdeksalta kun oli aika lähteä kaupungille shoppailemaan. Kierrokseni
alkoi Jing Anissa pidetyissä Shanghai Creatives designer markkinoilla. Olen aikaisemmin
ajatellut meneväni katosmaan mitä tälläisillä markkinoilla on tarjolla, mutta
joka kerta se on vaan jäänyt tekemättä. Tällä kertaa lähdin siis niin ajoissa,
että olin paikalla ennen kun markkinat virallisesti oli avattu. ”Virallisesti”
ei oikein voi avata kun markkinat pidettiin Shanghai Centren edustalla, eli toisin
sanoen ulkona, mutta katoksen alla. Myymässä oli 80 designeria eri tuotteilla.
Suurin osa tuotteista oli sisustustuotteita Shanghai teemalla, mutta paikalla
oli myös paljon koru- ja vaatemyyjiä. Toisin sanoen paikalla myytiin vaikka
mitä taidetta ja käsitöitä, jopa leipää ja piirakkaa oli tarjolla. Ihan kivat
markkinat, josta tuli ostettua Finchin sadeviitta erikoishintaan. Olen
aikaisemmin kaupassa viitan nähnyt ja miettinyt sen hankkimista, onneksi tuli
odotettua ja sain sen nyt halvemmalla.
Today
I woke up at half past seven so that I could early go shopping in the city. My
first destination was the Shanghai Creatives designer market held in Jing An
Shanghai Centre. As it was an open venue I ventured in before ten when it
actually should have opened. The time of this market was pretty bad for the
designers and potential customers, as I’m not sure many have time to go there
in the middle of work when they were only open from ten to five. Eighty
designers had their products displayed on their tables and most of them seemed
to have décor items with Shanghai motive as their product. There were also lots
of jewelry and fashion designers as well as some stands selling pies, bread and
other food items. I also like the stalls selling antiques and I had a chat with
a few of the sellers. The only thing I bought was a rain coat from Finch that I
had been looking at earlier in a store. As it was on sale for a special market
price I had to have it.
