Pudong skyscrapers, picture taken from the Bund
The Bund sijaitsee Puxin puolella, eli Huangpu joen länsirannalla. Rantakävelytieltä näkee Pudongin pilevnpirtääjät, johin kuuluvat 492m korkea Shanghai World Finance Tower, 468m korkea Oriental Pearl Tower ja 421m korkea Jin Mao Tower. Rakenteilla on myös Kiinan korkeinta rakennusta 632metristä Shanghai Toweria, joka valmistuu vasta 2014.
The Bund on ollut eri pankkien valtaama, mutta nykyään historiallisissa rakennuksissa sijaitsee hotelleja, ravintoloita ja kauppoja. Olemme kävelleet Bundia pitkin jo pari kertaa ja olemme huomanneet, että kiinalaiset vaikuttvat enemmän kiinnostuneita ottamaan meistä kuvia kun huikeista näkymistä. Yhtenä päivänä nainen istahti viiden metrin päähän meistä ja alkoi räpsimään kuvia. Jotkut sentään zoomaavat jo kaukaa.

The Bund is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Shanghai since the view to the other side of the river is great. The Bund is located on the west side of the Hunangpu river and the area is called Puxi. On the other side where the skyscrapers are located is called Pudong. Some of the tallest buildings in Pudong are Shanghai World Finance Tower (492m), Oriental Pearl Tower (468m) and Jin Mao Tower (421m). They are also building China's tallest building, which will be 632 meter high when finished in 2014. Even the Bund side is covered with historical buildings. Most of the buildings have been representing different banks, but nowadays there are lots of hotels, restaurants and shops situated in the buildings.
