The Bund

Almost no tourists on this side of the river
Samalla matkalla, kun
kävin katsomassa ostoskeskuksia, kävin myös rantabulevardilla. Bulevardi oli
samantapainen kun joen vastakkaisella puolella sijaitsevalla Bundilla, mutta
Pudongin puolella ei ole ajotietä bulevardin vieressä. Pudongin puolella oli
pistetty penkkejä joen ääreen, jotta voisi ihailla maisemia rauhassa. Bundin
puolella penkit ovat paljon pidemmällä, koska ihmiset poseeraavat aitan luona,
joka on aivan veden vieressä. Eli ne jotka haluavat ihailla maisemia Bundin
puolella joutuvat joko seisomaan aitauksen luona tai sitten istuessa katsoa
väkimassaa joka yrittää saada parhaimman kuvan Pudongin pilvenpiirtäjistä.
Pudongin puolella oli paljon vihreämpää ja kahviloita oli lähempänä. Istuin
rantabulevardilla puolituntia, sillä ilma oli pilvinen ja lämpötila juuri
sopiva.

Watching the Bund from Pudong, was more
relaxing than the other way around. On the boardwalk in Pudong you can sit
right in front of the river. I enjoyed my frozen yogurt on sight even though
there were lots of cafes nearby. The other thing that makes the Pudong side
better than the Bund is that there are no cars passing by the boardwalk so you
can sit and enjoy the sights in peace. On this side of the river the ships
passes by nearer than on the other side.
There were also less people on this side, but it was probably due to the
cloudy weather. For me the weather was perfect since it wasn’t too hot. Now
when I have been to both sides of the Huangpu River, I prefer to come back to
the Pudong side.
