Minxue ruokakadulle
ilmestyy aina hämärtyessä liikkuvakeittiö, jossa kaikki ruoat uppopaistetaan
rasvassa. Melko epäterveellistä, mutta todella hyvää. Itse voi valita
tarjottimelle tikuille asetettujen lihojen, kasviksien, sieninen ja muiden
outojen ruokien seasta, mitä itse haluaa. Olen melkein aina valinnut samat
asiat, eli kanaa, leipää, munakoisoa ja erilaisia sieniä. Jälkiruoaksi otan
vielä banaania, joka paiston jälkeen kuorrutettaan majoneesilla. Paikkaa pitää
kiinalainen pariskunta, joka on jo alkanut tulla melko tutuksi minulle. Usein mies hoitaa paistin-hommat, samalla kun nainen lisää kastikkeen ja mausteet ruokiin ja pakkaa valmiit ruoat laatikkoon. He ovat
huomanneet, että otan joka kerta samat asiat, joten nainen silloin tällöin
yrittää saada minut kokeilemaan jotakin uutta. En ollut käynyt Minxue kadulla viikkoon,
joten mennessäni heiltä ostamaan ruokaa, nainen kysyi, mikäli olin palannut
kotiin, kun hän ei ollut nähnyt minua pitkään aikaan. Miehen saapuessa paikalle
nainen selitti myös hänelle, etten ollutkaan mennyt kotiin. On se hauskaa kun he
huomaavat, etten ole ollut paikalla, vaikkakin heillä on paljon asiakkaita joka
ilta. Nainen jopa tietää aina kysyä haluanko myös banaania, sillä en sitä itse
yletä ottaa, kun kasaan tarjottimelle haluamani ruokia.

Everyday as it starts to get darker in the evening a place that makes deep fried food appears on Minxue Rd. The food is great, though it is probably the most unhealthy thing to eat. You can choose by yourself what kind of sticks with meet, vegetables, mushrooms or other weird stuff you want the cook to deep fry for you. I take almost every time the same thing, which is chicken, bread, mushrooms, eggplant and some other things I feel like having at that time. I also take a deep fried banana with mayonnaise for the dessert. The place is held by a Chinese middle aged couple, who are really friendly and nice. The woman knows that I always take the same things, so she has started to show me what the other stuff they have are, so I could try something else. I go to buy food from them maybe once or twice a week. Once I hadn't been there for a long time, so as I went there, the woman asked if I had gone back to Finland, when I hadn't been coming by. As her husband arrived she even had to let him know that I hadn't returned home. It feels nice when you start to talk more to the people who sells food on Minxue Rd.
