Aleostoksilla

Kävin tänään Super Brand Mallin aleostoksilla. Koska tiesin, että minulla shoppailu kestää ikuisuuden, peruin ilta-tapaamiseni, sillä en olisi ehtinyt tavata, vaikka aloitin kierrokseni jo kahden aikoihin. En kauheasti ostoskeskuksesta tykkää, mutta koska ulkona satoi, en halunnut kaduille mennä kiertelemään. Aloitin Zarasta sillä tiesin, että heillä oli tuotteet -50% alennuksessa verrattuna Suomeen, jossa ale prosentit olivat aivan naurettavia. Kävin sovittamassa vaatteita kolmesti, joten sovituskoppien vastaava mies tuli jo tutuksi. Aluksi hän ei ymmärtänyt kun sanoin kiinaksi viisi, toisella kerralla hän halusi antaa minulle nelos-lätkän vaikka minulla oli kuusi tuotetta. Ja viimeisellä kerralla hän oli ihan hämillään numeroiden kanssa. Zarasta tuli viidellä kympillä ostettua kaksi t-paitaa, hupparin ja shortsi-hameen.

Zaran jälkeen kävin Muji liikkeestä hankimassa koukkuja ja muita vastaavia tuotteita, jotta saisin laukut ripustettua ylös. Kävin Yoba:ssa pitämässä taon syöden frozen yogurttia juustokakkupalojen ja mansikkakastikkeen kanssa. Jatkoin kirjakauppaan, josta löysin kaksi kiina-aiheisia kirjoja, jotka ostin. Ensimmäinen sisältää lyhyitä tarinoita kiinalaisten käyttäytymisestä ja toinen on nimeltään Niubi! The real Chinese you were never taught in school ja se on kuin sanakirja. Sanasto kylläkin sisältään enimmäkseen slangia ja kirosanoja, mutta jos opin pari sanaa ja lausetta sieltä ehkä kiinalaiset luulevat minun ymmärtävän enemmän kuin mitä oikeasti tajuan. Olisin vielä käydä hierojalla, mutta en löytänyt mitään hyvää ja halpaa paikkaa keskuksesta. Lopuksi kävin Paris Baguette:n kautta ostamassa syötävää kotiin illaksi. En tietenkään miettinyt yhtään kun lähdin ostarilta kotiin päin tasan kello kuudelta. Tähän aikaan kaikki olivat matkalla kotiin, mutta kyllä metro- ja bussimatkat jotenkin onnistuivat.

Today I went to Super Brand Mall to go through the sales. I don’t like the mall that much, but since it was raining outside I decided it would be better to start from there. I had noticed that Zara had up to -50% sales, which was pretty good compared to the prices they put in Finland during sales. I went to try on clothes three times so I got to know the employee in charge of the dressing rooms pretty quickly. First time I went there he didn’t understand when I said five in Chinese. The next time he wanted to give number four, even though I had six items. And the last time he was really confused with the numbers. I bought from Zara a hoodie, skirt-shorts and two pairs of t-shirts for 400RMB.

After Zara I went to Muji and bought some hooks for my room so I could start hanging up bags, instead of having the laying around on the floor. I had hooks and stuff in my previous room, but they were stuck in the wall. I had a short break at Yoba, where I got some frozen yogurt with cheese cake pieces and strawberry sauce. I continued my shopping to a book store, where I bought two Chinese related books. The first one has short stories about Chinese behavior and the second one is a dictionary with mostly swearwords. I actually didn’t realize that the most of the words in the dictionary are of that kind, that I will never be able to use them. I would have wanted to get a massage, but the places in the mall were too expansive, so I went to Paris Baguette to get some food with me home. Of course I left the mall exactly at six o’clock so getting home with the rest of the working force in Shanghai wasn’t too pleasant, but I managed it.
