Olin etukäteen lukenut
Etelä-Aasian isoimmasta ilmaisvesi- ja valoshow’sta, joka esitetään joka ilta
kello kahdeksalta Marina Bayssa. Puolituntia aikaisemmin menimme puolityhjään
ulkoilma katsomoon istumaan. Mikäli ei showsta tietäisi mitään, katsomoa ei
varmaankaan huomaisi. Pikkuhiljaa katsomo alkoi täyttymään ja juuri ennen kello
kahdeksaa paikka oli aivan täynnä. Show kestää noin kolmetoista minuuttia.
Vettä ja valoa käyttäen lahdelle ilmestyi vesiseinämä jonka pinnalle heijastui
kuvia. Musiikin tahtiin show oli todella taitavasti tehty, ja jopa tulta
käytettiin tehosteina. Valo-vesi-show oli mahtava kokemus, ja koska se oli
ilmeinen, ei ainakaan kaduta sinne meneminen.

I had read in advance about Southeast Asia’s
biggest lightning water curtain show shown every night at eight pm in Marina
Bay. Half an hour before the show we went to sit in the audience, even though
there were almost no people there. At eight o’clock the audience was completely
full, and people had to stand in the back to see it. The show is only thirteen
minutes long. Only water and light is used to mirror pictures on a curtain of
water out on the bay. The show is accompanied by music and fire. It was a great
experience and since it was free, it was even better.
