Olin ensimmäisen viikon aikana käynyt Yu Gardenissa,
joten päätin myös viimeisen kuun aikana käydä siellä. En ollut
basaari-alueeseen aikaisemmin tutustunut, joten tällä kertaa kävimme monessa
kaupassa ja ostimme mm. makeisia. Kävimme myös matkaoppaideni mukaan yhdessä
parhaimmista dumpling-ravintoloissa, joka sijaitsee Shanghaissa. Paikan
ulkopuolella oli pitkä jono take-away tiskille, joten päätimme mennä
yläkertaan, missä oikea ravintola sijaitsi. Paikka ei ollut mikään erikoinen,
melko pieni kaiken lisäksi, joten istumapaikka oli vaikea saada. Tilasimme
yhden annoksen, muiden asiakkaiden tilatessa viisi- kuusi annosta. Enpä paikkaa
voi kehua, mutta toisaalla en ole kokeilut kovin paljon dumplingija.

I had once visited
the Yu Garden in the beginning of my stay in Shanghai, so I thought it would be
a good idea to visit the nearby bazaars one evening. There are lots of shops
selling speciallity products of Shanghai, and we bought some sweets I hadn't
tasted before. We also visited a dumpling-restaurant stated to be one of the
best ones in Shanghai by many guide-books I have red. The queue to the
downstairs take-away place was so long, with maybe thirty people in from of us,
so we decided to go up to the actual restaurant. The place was small, and
getting a table wasn't easy. We only ordered one dish, but most people ordered
a lot. The dumplings were good, but maybe I haven't tasted enough to say they
were the best.
