Siiderikauppa

I later bought some Swedish mysli as well from this store

Kävelimme ympäri naapuristoa, kun löysimme sivukadulla pienen ulkomaalaisruokakaupan. Jo ulkoa huomasin suuren juomavalikoiman. Tarjolla oli vaikka kuinka paljon eri kaljoja, mutta minä olin siideriä metsästämässä. Ihme kyllä, löysin siideriä kaupasta. Hinnaltaan melko kallista kun vertaa Suomeen hintoihin, mutta pakko vaan ostaa, kun muualta ei oikein löydy. Kaupassa oli myös esim. ruotsalaista mysliä.

Myyjä puhui hyvää englantia ja lisäsin jälkikäteen kaupan wechatin, jotta voisin kännykällä seurata mitä uutuuksia kauppaan saapuu. Kaupan omistaja lisäsi minut myöhemmin, ja hyvällä englannilla kertoi, että oli iloinen, että olin löytänyt heidän kaupan. Mikäli halusin jotain erikoisia tuotteita, omistaja lupasi etsiä. Saapa nähdä löytyykö jatkossa mitään suomalaisia tuotteita heidän kaupasta. 

                                                                                                                                                              

We were walking around our town in the weekend, and found a place selling draft beer. I wanted to show CC what cider is and when inside the store to look for some. I did find some cider, which is quite remarkable, as no Chinese people drink it. Quite expensive at it was some 30-40rmb, but that’s what you have to pay if you want imported alcohol. The shop also had some Swedish granola and other interesting imported food that I didn’t think could be found in our town, which is  one hours away from Puxi with all its western chains.

The seller told us that they were opening a western style pizza place later in the year. I find the place we live in slowly becoming better and better. I used to not like living here at all, but due to Disney opening up nearby, the place has transformed quite a lot. If we get back to the beer store I found, I wanted to add that I got the shops chat number and added it to Wechat, the owner of the shop was so happy to hear that someone was buying cider from his shop that he asked if there was any brand I wanted him to find for me. Let’s see if in the future he can find any Finnish products for me. Anyways, it is nice to find a shopkeeper in my town, who is able to communicate fluently in English.
